Xiami, the world’s number four presented in MWC19 – Barcelona (formerly Mobile World Congress) a robust and well-finished smartphone. The smartphone is half the price of an iPhone. Hence, that should enable it to continue its irresistible rise in Europe.
Pending the announced 5G revolution, Xiaomi continues its rapid growth. In eight years, the Chinese group has become the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. It manufactures high-quality products at attractive prices. Today, it is one of the few still growing in a saturated sector. Despite declining sales in China, the world’s largest market, Xiaomi is looking for growth drivers in Europe, where Chinese products are attracting more and more consumers.
This Xiaomi Mi 9 has a 6.39-inch. It is equipped with a Full HD+ AMOLED slab (manufactured by Samsung), and an integrated fingerprint reader on the screen. At the rear, there is a triple photo module. It has a 48-megapixel sensor opening at f/1.75, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens opening at f/2.2, and a very wide 16-megapixel angle opening at f/2.2.
Inside, there are, a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC 855, 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM depending on the model, and 128 or 256 storage. There is also the NFC, a GPS with an independent L5 antenna and an infrared port. Equipped with a 3300 mAh battery, the smartphone is compatible with wireless charging at 20W maximum and fast charging at 27W maximum. Finally, the smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie (MIUI 10).
